Bird droppings make roof surfaces very slippery, increasing the chance of slipping and falling. In summer, heat and sun exposure can quickly lead to heat exhaustion or heat stroke. In winter, water used while cleaning can freeze on the roof and become even more hazardous.
Trying to install pigeon proofing yourself is risky and not recommended. Working on a roof is dangerous, especially without safety gear like harnesses and anchors.
Some solar panels are installed right near the edge of the roof, which adds extra risk since even a small slip in those areas can lead to a serious fall.
DIY installs also often fail if not done correctly, which can let birds come back or cause damage to the roof.
A professional service has the right equipment, training, and experience to do the job safely and correctly the first time.
Here’s how we protect your roof:
Step on the overlapping area: We only step on the strongest part of the tile—the bottom third where it overlaps the tile below.
Spread out weight: We always place our weight across two tiles at the same time so no single tile takes too much pressure.
Use the right shoes: We wear soft, grippy shoes that won’t damage the tiles.
